To control the timer-window, the best way is with a Stream Deck controller through Companion. The best news is that this feature is free. You can run a timer live during presentation without having to go someplace else! A lot of customizations too - 1) you can minimize the timer window, creating this mini timer widget at the top of your screen so you can continue on with what slide you're currently in, 2) you can set a time's up alarm (CRAZY), 3) there's an alternate mode which is stopwatch that works just as fine. Among the tools in said toolbar is a timer.įrom there, it's pretty intuitive. Just go to slide show / presentation mode and a whole toolbar will pop up at the bottom of your screen. There's actually a TON of features within this one add-in but one of them is a live presentation timer with stopwatch. It's directly integrated to PPT that opens up a new tab within your PowerPoint ribbon. What I came across years ago was this free add-in to PowerPoint called ClassPoint. Honestly, both are time consuming and can become very tedious so I don't recommend. There's actually a couple of ways - you can design a manual timer onto your slide that you can present in slide show or play with Macros. ![]() Enjoy yourselves and remember, if you name a specific project you worked on, it could get traced back to you, so use common sense!
